MBNA PPI Claim Form Letter, Payouts and Success Rates
MBNA PPI claims have seen a great increase since the Government ordered the banks and credit card companies to pay back mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance last year. One of the people at the forefront of the claim back process is Martin Lewis of Money Saving Expert fame. He has provided PPI claims template letters that can be downloaded online to help you get the refund process going. These letters can be used to reclaim your mis-sold policy payments from any of the banks like Barclays, HSBC, Natwest and Halifax or credit card companies such as Barclaycard and MBNA.
How Much PPI Have People Claimed Back From MBNA?
It’s difficult to say how much the claims have individually brought in but the average payout is about £2750. This figure is based on information from PPI claims companies found on the Internet.
What Is The Success Rate Of Getting A Refund?
Many people have claimed back successfully from MBNA and the success rate seems to be much the same as the other banks and credit card companies at about 29%. So roughly a third of people have claimed and been paid already. A further 14% are in the process of getting a refund.
What If My MBNA Claim Is Refused?
Refusal of your MBNA PPI claim doesn’t necessarily mean ‘game over’. If you still believe you were mis-sold your insurance and are unhappy with the reply you had from MBNA then try contacting the Financial Ombudsman Service and get them on to your creditors. If they agree to take your case you have a very good chance of getting your refund, although unfortunately, with the large amount of people claiming, it could take a year or longer to see the money back in your account.
